The service life of LED film screen is usually between 4 and 8 years. As the usage time increases, the screen will gradually wear out and age, and faults such as dead lights and unit boards not lighting up may occur. Below are four common faults and their repair methods to help everyone quickly locate and solve problems.
1. Dead light issue
When one or more lights on the LED screen do not light up, it is usually referred to as a dead light. This may be due to damage to the LED beads, or an issue with the RGB chip, or it could be due to moisture. To solve this problem, it is necessary to dismantle the problematic module and replace it with a spare module. Afterwards, the faulty module will be sent for repair and tested to ensure proper functionality after repair.
2. Black screen phenomenon
When certain module areas of the LED film screen do not light up, it is called a local black screen; If multiple areas are not lit, it is called a large area black screen. This type of problem is mostly related to power supply. Firstly, check if the indicator light of the LED power supply is working properly. If the indicator light is not on, it may be due to power damage and a new power supply needs to be replaced. If the power supply is normal, it is necessary to check whether the module power cord in the black screen area is loose and tighten it accordingly.
3. Horizontal bright line spacing issue
If the LED film screen lights up and doesn't light up every few lines in the horizontal direction, it is usually due to poor network cable connection or loose connectors. The solution is to re plug the network cable and check if the contact points are in good condition. If the contact point rusts, sandpaper can be used to polish it; If the damage is severe, the interface needs to be replaced.
4. Unit illumination issue
When a unit of the LED film screen stays on continuously, it may be due to a problem with the data cable connecting the unit or a malfunction in the corresponding distribution board. Firstly, try replacing the data cable and observe if it returns to normal. If the problem persists after replacing the data cable, it is necessary to consider replacing the distribution board or unit board.
The above is an introduction to common faults and maintenance methods for LED film screen. If the problem still cannot be solved after diagnosis, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer of the LED film screen for technical support.
