Everyone knows that any LED display screen has a lifespan, and LED screen protectors are no exception. The normal service life of LED film screen is 4 to 8 years. As the use time increases, the screen body will wear out and age, and it is inevitable to have faults such as dead lights and unit boards not lighting up. We can only extend the service life of film screen by clearly understanding the cause of the fault and taking targeted measures. Today, the editor of Deli Jing Optoelectronics summarized several common faults of LED film screen, hoping to be helpful to everyone.
1. Black screen phenomenon appears on the screen body
Black screen refers to the LED module area not being lit or the entire screen not being lit. This phenomenon takes into account the power factor. First, check if the LED power indicator light is working properly. If it doesn't light up, it's mostly due to a damaged power supply. Simply replace it with a new power supply. If there is no problem with the power supply, check if the power cord of the LED module corresponding to the black screen is loose, and try twisting the wire head again.
2. The entire screen lights up horizontally after a few lines, but doesn't light up after a few lines
Usually, the network cable is not properly plugged in and the connector is loose. Reconnect the network cable and check if the contact points are in good condition. If there is rust, it can be sanded off with sandpaper. If there is damage, the interface can be replaced.
3. Dead light phenomenon on the screen
Dead light "refers to some of the light beads on the LED film screen not lighting up, most likely due to the LED light beads. Of course, damage or moisture to the RGB chip is also possible. The repair method is very simple. Remove the module in the dead light area and replace it with a spare module. Then take the faulty module for repair, and once it's fixed and tested, there should be no issues.
4. A certain unit is constantly on
Usually, there is a problem with the data cable connecting this unit, or the corresponding distribution board is malfunctioning. Replace the data cable and pay attention to the effect. If replacing the data cable still doesn't work, then replace the distribution board or unit board.
The above are the common problems encountered with LED film screens, and of course, there may be other issues as well. When we encounter them, we should be good at thinking and summarizing, finding solutions, and the so-called practice makes perfect
