Therefore, outdoor high-definition LED displays have emerged as a new trend in the development of new media. Against this backdrop, transparent LED displays are gradually entering the market, especially occupying an increasingly important position in the application field of glass curtain walls.

At the same time, in urban planning and construction, glass window engineering buildings are more popular, which has led to the emergence of indoor transparent LED display screens. The combination with transparent LED screens optimizes the display of glass window engineering buildings, making them fashionable, colorful, modern, and technologically advanced, giving people a unique expressive power.

Since the emergence of LED transparent displays, some transparent LED display manufacturers have not only created many excellent large-scale case projects, but also continuously innovated in product performance and form, leading the way in creative displays. Under the influence and promotion of national policies such as "light pollution" and "urban improvement", transparent LED display products have rapidly emerged in the outdoor market.

With the stable maturity of technology and application, there is a market for transparent LED displays in stage design, large shopping malls, exhibition halls, glass display windows, 4S stores, corporate exhibition halls, hotel lobbies, sales departments, elevators, etc. However, wherever there is glass, there is a market for transparent LED displays. For example, in building lighting projects, the required glass screens may be replaced with LED transparent display screens in the future, and the number of such projects is still increasing, and the market size is gradually expanding.

According to predictions, the market output value of LED transparent screens is expected to reach approximately 10 billion yuan by 2025. Since the development of LED transparent display screens, various types have emerged, including LED hard light strip transparent screens (ice screens, also known as sky screens), LED flexible grid screens (conformal screens), LED grid screens, LED film coated screens, LED photoelectric glass screens, LED crystal film screens (soft films), LED invisible holographic screens, etc.

Both traditional LED display products and emerging LED transparent display products in segmented fields are developing towards lightness and thinness. From outdoor fixed installations to indoor large screen displays, the trend of "transparency" is becoming increasingly evident. At the same time, the application scope of transparent LED displays is further expanding in the overlapping use of precision advertising push, human screen interaction, 3D and other technologies.

In the industry, manufacturers and product providers of LED transparent display screens have crossed over into the fields of lighting and display, mainly including enterprises that produce point light source lamps and systems (such as wall washers), some traditional LED display screen enterprises, and professional enterprises that only produce LED transparent display screens. In the LED display market, due to the lack of technical barriers, severe homogenization, and intense competition, the "price war" in various situations has gradually dragged the industry into the abyss;

Moreover, the advantage cycle of new technological innovation is short and easy to replicate. Without transparent display standards and corresponding quality evaluation standards, there is no reference basis for consumer groups, construction parties/customers to choose product applications, operate and evaluate quality.

For this reason, the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Industry Association has decided to organize member enterprises to jointly summarize the technical experience and quality of the industry, develop the General Technical Specification for LED Transparent Display from the perspective of universality, universality, progressiveness of technology and high quality level, fill in the standard gap, provide technical reference for the industry, promote technological innovation, optimize the industrial structure and ecological chain, and help the industry develop healthily.
